Walking: More Beneficial than You May Think!

Many people want to get more active to improve their health and fitness but get confused by the mass of conflicting information out there as well as daunted by the time and effort involved in taking trips to the gym, getting a gym membership at all, what the best exercise equipment or routine might be, and so on.

But it doesn’t have to be that complicated! What about walking? Do you walk your dog? Or walk to work or school? What about getting some errands done on foot? There’s powerful new research and consensus out there as to the real benefits that walking can provide for you, it really can be that simple! In Walking the Walk: Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says that Physical Activity is one of the Keys to Good Health by Kimberly Leonard in U.S. News: The Report, Dr. Murthy is quoted, saying: “Walking is one of the most powerful things we can do to improve our health. It is easy, accessible and affordable to almost everyone. Just 22 minutes a day of physical activity can reduce your risk of heart disease and diabetes.”
