Univera Team, LA and Beyond, gathered in November just days before Thanksgiving to share in a co-service project between Heartfelt Service Organization and Univera Serve First. Nearly 400 people came through to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Team LA and Beyond made sure that the primarily Hispanic community in Los Angeles had plenty to be thankful for as the community members were treated to the best tacos in LA, live music, $75 grocery store gift cards, and plenty of Univera Xtra.
One associate said it was amazing seeing people arrive from within the community, from looking completely exhausted to then having a boost of energy and having the desire to stay for the entire event.
The following Saturday, December 13th, Univera Associates also attended an event at Heartfelt’s annual Christmas event that served 3000 children in Los Angeles. Diamond Associate, David Raynr said: “We think being of service all year round exemplifies who we are at Univera Serve First.” The goal of Univera Serve First is not only to be dedicated to bettering the lives of young children everywhere but to share globally the knowledge and resources we have acquired to improve the health of infants, children, and young mothers.
